Smoke Alarms – What’s the difference?
How often have you burnt toast and your smoke detector has gone off ?
Whilst this was “normal” in the past it isn’t anymore – false alarms are banished to the history books.
The reason you got false alarms was technology wasn’t available.
Ionisation type detectors were prone to “go off” with cooking, or steam from a detector installed near the bathroom.
Newer technology means correct selection of detector can eliminate false alarms.
